Get Outdoors on the Florida Trail!
Part of the fun of being a part of the Florida Trail Association is to participate in the many activities offered at the local chapter and state level. Depending on their area of interest, activity leaders have knowledge of local trails, habitats, and history, and plan outings for everyone to enjoy.
Activities are posted on local chapter websites and published in the Footprint, our bi-monthly membership publication. You’ll find the most up-to-date listings on the chapter websites. Here, we present activities that were submitted in advance for publication in the Footprint.
Use the calendar in the right column to find activities for a specific date (click on any underlined date).
Once you click on the calendar, you can search all events for any word or phrase (such as day hikes or Apalachicola) using the Search Events function in the left column.

The full roster of Upcoming Activities from the Footprint is now available as a downloadable PDF. Click, print, and go!
Each activity entry may include several codes. The two-letter code (such as WG or LC) stands for the chapter hosting the activity.
The "P/L" code is the activity type and level. P=Public, M=Members only; L=Leisure, M=Moderate, S=Strenuous.
Please note that "All Day" activities may not in fact take the entire day, but no specific start or end time were estimated by the activity leader.
Always call or email the activity leader to let them know you'll be participating. Have fun out there!

| Florida Hiking Festival, March 2008 |
Mark your calendars for March 28-30, 2008 to join the celebration in our first Gateway Community, White Springs, at the Florida Hiking Festival! Incorporating our Annual Conference and meeting with more opportunities to explore the Suwannee River Wilderness Trail via guided hikes, paddling, and biking trips, it'll be a weekend's worth of walking, workshops, and down-home Southern hospitality in the peak of spring hiking season. Watch our new website at FloridaHikingFestival.org to see the program develop!
